Hey guys i am thinking about buying some TSL's for my play trail rig. It is not a DD. I go up to the store on the weekends and drive to the trail and back. I put about 500 miles a week give or take. How many miles can i expect from them? Will they dry rot and crack quick? What is the key to keeping them fresh? Thanks Pat.

setting your rig on jackstands when your not going to use them for extended periods will help with flatspots especially in the winter, I had TSLs on a K-5 it took forever to round out when it was cold. I got about 15k out of mine

mine lasted about 12K until i sold them. they still had about 30% tread left though. Ill never have another set of TSL's. I hated them. Id buy my Iroks again and again though. My jeep rides like a caddy and thats on unbalanced beadlocks

Wow it looks like i wont be getting the TSL's. Now that i heard the info you guys gave me i think i may go the radial route. I saw the nankang mudstars for 137 each with free shipping in a 33 on unsertire.com I may go with them.

YOU DONT BUY SUPERSWAMPERS FOR MILEAGE!! We use to run them on all our pickups in nebraska. But we drove dirt rodes and muddy fields 90% of the time. So ours lasted a little longer than usually but I always laughed at the kids at school who drove 99.5% of the time on the street thinking they were cool cause they had swampers that were bald in a year or a little less.

My rig is not a DD but i want a set of tires that are very aggresive and will last more than 2 yrs before i need to replace them. How well do they stand up to dry rot?

Oh sorry about that then. I figured you were another person just wanting them for looks and a little bit of off road use. Ours held up good to rot but we drove them every day. The tires we all switched to up there were the Cooper STT's. They do great in everything and I know there are quite a few people on here who run them.

as far as any bogger or superswamper goes they are not for daily drivers they are for offroading only they are made to perform offroad not on the road if u are just driving the jeep get all terrains or mud terrains dont go for the aggresive tires

I had TSL super swamper 31x11.50 r15 and probably put about 10k miles on them and i could still read the name on the outside lugs. drove back and forth from louisiana to texas twice and on two jeep jamborees plus my daily driving to and from college for awhile and they help up just fine. i figure they would probably get 30 k out of them. this was on a 90 model wrangler and 97 xj, i switched back and forth from time to time. Best off-road/mud tire i've ever used. I went through a mud hole in my xj 3 times with ease and my axles were open and a New wrangler rubicon with lockers front and back on 33's/ BFG MUds couldn't go through. he was pissed lol

this is probally due to driver..........you would be amazed at the number of people i watch putt into a mud pit or get in there and stop..........you have to give it hell and hang on! if your afraid to scratch it or break something you shouldnt be in the woods in the first place!
