So I was reading the poor potential of the hi-lift with regards to unibody cherokees & their weak bumpers as said below...

What do you guys use then instead? A large bottle jack?

I have a 3inch lift & would like to know what would work well for off road situations...

i ripped the rear bumper off mine with a highlift. Now i have 2x6 square tube wrapped around to the rear tires and it doesnt move at all.

 

Hi-Lift makes something called a lift helper I think, don't quote me on it... but it attaches to your wheel and you can use the hi-lift that way. Of course that means you would need to carry a jackstand if you wanted to change a wheel though.
