Default what the heck?? Brake disk wont come off??

My jeep must be magical, I have been pounding at my disk for 30 minutes now, and it just isnt budging... my other side was nice and loose, but this side is not moving at all... I have never seen this happen? has this happened to anyone else before?

Disc are cheap.about $28 at autoparts and lot less at the jy. You may even find it hard with a big sledgehammer,so get a bfh.

Penetrating oil or a little heat usually work good. But where you've already soaked it heat might give you a nice fire to roast marshmallows over at this point, so yeah... BFH.

HA!... well... my BFH! work... I never would have thought to resorting to sledgehammering a disk.. that like goes against all the rules I learned back at my AYES auto classes I had... I can't figure out why my 2001 cherokee has more rust issues than my 1990 Miata

since your in MI I'm guessing you use the Jeep in the winter more than the miata and Michigan still likes to use salt on the roads hence the Bagdad potholes on every road (im originally from MI)

Heh, well to be honest.. the miata has experienced more winters than the jeep... I just found it really surprising the amount of under body rust on it
