Belto in your climate 10W30 will be fine year round. Add the ZDDP as suggested order it from HERE

Since the majority of my driving will be in cold Winter weather, I opted for 5W-30, being told it will make cold-weather starts easier than the heavier weight stuff. I'll monitor how things run with this thinner oil through the Spring. May switch to heavier for next year's return to warmer temps.

Every cam I have read about lately has been Crane. My compcam in my stroker is working great with the 5w30 off the shelf. Quaker state is usually what I use but if not, its whatever is cheapest (above the store brand)
Store brand = water.

Crane was specifically recommending high ZDDP levels for their cams. Besides being what was orginally recommended for flat-tappet cams, Crane may require it for warranty reasons.
BTW...20w-50 for me. Darn thing leaks everywhere.
