Default What is going on? (video inside)

hey guys, ok so as of 2 days ago I started noticing a little bit of a squeaking noise, then today it turned into a slight grinding. I also noticed some kind of goo coming from what appears to be the thermostat housing. it doesn't look like its coming from the water pump.

on a possibly related note, about 3 days ago i noticed a grinding when accelerating from a stop.

any leads? thoughts? opinions?

thanks

the picture uploaded, the video did not, still trying to get it loaded

ok, so the coolant goo seems to have come from the upper radiator hose. still have no idea about the grinding, chirping noise

The sound, there's not too much in that area that can make a grinding sound other than the pump. Also are you sure that the "goo" is not comming out of the front of the water pump and getting slung up on the t-stat housing by the pump pulley? Just because it is semi-new doent mean that it cant be bad. Bearings are'nt made like they used to be.

Pull off the serp belt and give each of the pulleys a spin and see which one feels rough and doesn't spin smooth.
