what gear oil are you running? im about to change mine and not sure what kind to run. thanks

75w-90 in the differentials,75w140 if you tow alot,synthetic or standard and brand is a personal choice,I use 75w90 synthetic.

I use 75w-90 in the front and 80W in the rear

how much oil does it usually take i have dana 30 front and 44 rear, i know you poor until oil starts to come out of the fill plug but how much is that? just so i know how much to buy. thanks

For the front it depends on which transfer case you have.

If you have the NP-242 it takes more fluid as you only have the one seal.

But the Dana 30 takes about 3 pints

And the Dana 44 a little over 3 pints.

get your self a repair book. it helps. sae 80w/90 fluid for non towing/limited slip diffs. and fill it up to the bottom of the drain/fill plug.
