What do i really have?
Hello all, I just joined and have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. It is completely stock, but I am unsure of what trim level I have.
Here are the specs to the best of my knowledge:
4dr, 4WD, 4.0L engine, 4 speed auto, PS, PB, AC, Rear Window Defroster, Rear Window Wiper, AM/FM Cassette Radio.
Manual Door Locks, Manual Windows, 15 inch steel wheels.
Do I have the Classic Trim, or the Sport Trim level. I understand that the SE Trim level only came with the 2.5L engine.
I am wondering to make certain that I order the proper replacement parts.
Thanks for the help.

Okay, here are some pics of mine. It definitely is pretty basic in my opinion. It does have some luxury (AC comes to mind), but it is not a loaded Cherokee by any stretch of the imagination.
Here is the front (NOTE - the bumpers are black, not body color):
Here is the side (NOTE - steel wheels):
Here is the interior:
And lastly, the sucky instrument cluster:
So, can anyone confirm which trim level I have?

can you swap out gauge clusters on the newer models like you can on the first-gen models? That was the first thing I did to my '91 5-speed.

One thing about the idiot lights.....I don't recall any posts saying "I didn't see the red light on" but there have been posts saying "I didn't see the needle pointing to the red". Best of both worlds, big red lights AND accurate info.

Cool, thanks for the confirmation. I just got an email from Chrysler with the build sheet and it says "SE Value Group". The build sheet came in less than an hour from the time I sent the request to the email arrival.
I am looking for a full gauge cluster to replace this one with.
djb383 - What is a ScanGauge? Is it something that mounts on the dash and provides the missing gauge information? (Never mind, you posted just a couple seconds before I did). I am going to do a Google search for that and see what it costs.

About 200 bucks...
I would just do the gauge swap and be done with it.
Thats what the "check gauges" light is for on 97+...
