My front driveshaft is the CV joint style and I really wanna replace with a u joint if at all possible. What will i need to do so?

I had the CV type front shaft on my ZJ replaced with one w/u-joints and a slip-yoke in the shaft from another ZJ. It required removing the pinion yoke attachment and replacing it with the u-joint yoke from the donor ZJ.
You could probably do the same with one from an XJ that has u-joints rather than CV's in the shaft. JMO

i had to swap the stuff on my zj when i went to wrangler transfer case. i had to swap stuff inside the transfer case. i was able to buy the main part from a guy on ebay though. i think i am not helping though because i used my same shaft. mine was a 93 and i don't remember what style joints it had
