Default what do I need??

So I have 1/2 of my 3" lift on ( the back half)... I know I am going to need new, longer shocks.. any recommendations?? looking for best value, not necassarily the cheapest, but not needing remote resses either...

Also, am I going to need to extend brake lines? If so, how and what do you recommend??

My lift was a JY find so I am wanting to tackle everything I am going to need in advance.... Please give any and all input you have that you think I may need to know, do, or replace....

Thanks in advance to you all!!

OME or Bilstiens would be the best, but stock JK shocks would work good also. You don't NEED brake lines, but I suggest a YJ rear line. In the front you can straighten the metal portion of the lines and relocate the mounts downward. For front springs either new 3" springs or ZJ V8 fronts with a 2" spacer.

Thanks for the input!! I have front lift coils that came from the JY, just haven't been able to put em on yet... I can straighten the metal lines upfront and do some bracket relocating, no problems... How much of the YJ rear line do I need to get (from where to where?)... Should I get a new one for a YJ or try to score a JY line again??? I really think im going to extend these lines just so I feel better about it anyway... wont have to worry as much when wheeling...

thanks again!!

Untill you lift over 6" you don't need a new pitman arm, unless it is damaged. Pitman arm caused bump steer is a Wrangle problem not a Cherokee problem.

When you straighten the front line you just screw the mount into the fender well a little lower, mine had holes already. You buy a complete YJ rear brake hose and swap it in place of the stock XJ hose. Basically the are the same thing, the YJ one is just 3" longer. For $16 get a new line. I never feel safe getting anything made of rubber from a JY, especially high pressure hoses.

Brake hose connect to a hard line just above the rear axle, then goes to axle, conneting the the hard lines that go to the wheels. is about 18" long or so.

If you look at the rear axle you will see 2 hoses going from the body to a block on the axle. 1 hose is the differential breather, the other is the rear brake hose. The block is the end peice of the brake hose. The mounting screw for the block is the tube that the breather hose connects to.
