Either a D35 or 825. Look at the pumpkin if the bottom is flat it's an 8.25.

do a few searches, both on here and on google....wikipedia is also a great resource and you'll find out what ya got. But it is either the dana 35 or 8.25 as OKC said

will i searched around look like i got the 8.25 but is that a good thing for mudding?

not a bad axle. mine has held up to some real abuse. yours is the 27 spline whereas the late models were 29. lock it up aand go my friend. i would stay away from any bigger than a 34 inch tire though, but thats just me. its basically about the equivelant to a dana 44, but not quite there. still, a decent axle.

make sure you extend the breather hose and check all the seals. those axles don't like water too much... when you say muddin, down here that means lots of water too
