True True

For those saying he should go higher to begin with . I feel that the 2.5" OME is a very good platform to start with. I've had it for two years and have not really felt the need to go higher, and when I do, I intend on getting some shackles for the rear and some spacers for the front. Plus when you go higher off the get go there is more things you have to purchase such as an SYE which he may be able to get away w/out for the time being.

truthfully this question cant be answered by anyone but the owner. first we dont know where and how he drives. we dont know what outcome he wants.
heck take it out and drive it, then do what you need to do first. i think it sounds like all three mods sound great and they dont sound cheap, but what do you wanna do with your jeep?

i thought the only thing u needed to add to the kit was brushings becuase it is not that big of a lift.

its gonna be mainly a dd that i want to have the ability to do some light off roading. manily just trail riding. So IMO i think that the 2" woudl be the best for me, for quality and te fact i dont need more then that fo the kinda driving i do.

and what do u say is not cheap?

well you figure his base 2" lift is $759 and it includes; 4 shocks, coils, leaf packs, and jks discos..

then add in bushings and shipping your at almost $900. but since my jeep is 13 years old and i know it could use them- i added a set of jks adj control arms and since a 2" lift from OME nets around 2.5" a trackbar up front would be a good idea, so add that cost.. shipping on all that.. yea i about died when it was $1500+. its crazy.

The way i see it with any lift over 2 inches your gonna need a trackbar, something for the swaybar and its recomended LCA's so think out your decision carefully

for $1500+ from dirk i was getting:
- 2" OME kit (4 shocks, coils, leaf springs) not the HD springs either(whatever he recommended)
- OME steering stabilizer
- bushing kit
- jks disconnects
- jks LCA's
- jks adj trackbar

and i was just getting around 2.5" with that kit..

but i could turn around and spend $1300+ and get:
-RE superflex 3.5" kit (includes coils, leaf packs, lca, brakelines, bumpstops, ubolts, disconnects)
- RE trackbar
- rustys drop crossmember
- RE monotubes
- RE steering stabilizer

that kit will net me close to 4"+

1500 bucks for a 2 inch lift, heck nooooooo, i dont care how good it is and what it comes with, unless its a check for 1200 bucks back.
that looks like great stuff but i take my vehicle offroad and beat it, that stuff is wayyyyy to nice for me

You can spend the money you save on some gears and a locker.

honestly i think spending money on the edge kit is a waste as well... its a jeep, not a sportscar..

but if you honestly want to save money on a lift- like stryker said look into rough country, then rubicon and OME. rough country will prob be my 2nd choice in lift. pretty much will cust my lift cost by a 1/3
