According to the photo chart I have, it says that I have a Chrysler 8.25 rear
My build sheet states
"DMDS 3.55 Rear Axle Ratio
DRAS Corporate 8.25 Rear Axle"




Don't see the front on the photo chart but the build sheet states
"DJHS 230MM Front Axle "
What does this mean?

 

Yep, looks like a Dana 30 up front and a Chrysler 8.25 in back.

 

You have a Crysler 8.25 in the rear and a Dana 30 in the front. 3.55 is telling you the gearing inside the diffs from the manufacturer. That's all I can decode.

 

I think your flow master is falling off.........

Not falling off, just turned. Only had the XJ for about 2 months.
PO put that on there. I am recovering from a spinal fusion so I haven't messed with turning it. Dr.s won't allow me to "play" with it yet. Finally asked my wife to crawl under and get some photos.

I have a picture that has a chart of the various diffs but I would have never picked the Dana 30 as what I have up front. Good to know what is there as these XJ's get broken/repair and modded alot so I wanted to make sure that it still had the parts it was supposed to have.
