What color should I paint my XJ?
 

Just wondering if any of you have seen any great custom colors for XJs. I was going to just paint it black, but I'm worried that might be a bit hot in the summer. Then I thought I might paint it a wild color like blue, etc. since it can really be any color since I'm getting it painted. I've got the black Cragar steel wheels.

Got any links to an XJ that struck you as looking really good?

mines black and it does get pretty warm in the summer. I fi were to paint my jeep though i would paint it a burnt orange color. My neighbor used to have a burnt orange wrangler with black rims and it looked sick!!!

OD green.

X2 or Flat tan

yellow with black trim and tinted windows

if you want wild go hot pink or a flashy purple color...and flames would make a pretty big statement.

Exactly... with subdued (black) emblems... That is my favorite color. :grin:

Another vote for OD Green or my fav- Desert tan. Looks great.. check out OverlandXJ's OD jeep.

I like Ranger, or sage green better than OD. The lighter the shade, the better, in my book. Or desert tan.

they seem to suit these nicely

white with out any amber lens and chrome trim and bumbers is pretty nice like on gojeep.

I'm thinking about doing Deep Blue or Jet Black from Duplicolor's new Paint Shop line:

Seems like a nice way of doing a quality paint job from primer to clear coat.

red XJs are where it's at.

Another vote for OD Green. Especially with the black flares and trim that it appears you already have. Thats how I want mine to end up at least.

Negative, mines red and I almost did not buy it because of that.

I say desert tan or forest service green.

Couldn't decide so I just camo'd mine

I like them red- leave the military look for well- the military?

Canary Yellow is a nice contrast with black but then again so is Deep Red.

Snap-on makes a really cool Bright Green, they call it Extreme Green

When i bought my Snap-on Classic 87[i think the model number is], thats the color i went for. Only one in the shop with that color. Cell phone pic

I gotta show this to my Heep. Just to give it something to aspire to :grin:.

My First choice:
Liberty Blue with black wheels, black trim and limo tint windows.

Second choice:
Teal with black wheels, black trim and limo tint windows.

Of course, OD green or tan is cool, too!

Oh yeah...ever seen one painted with white & black zebra pattern? Looks awesome, and gets you noticed, if that's what you want.

Thinking of having mine shot in dark silver or medium blue.

mine is white from the bottom of the doors up and black down including my rims i like how simple it looks on a cherokee i think that's the way to go personally. Just simple

hey, i got a 4.5 inch rough country lift on mine and i want alittle more lift. what else do they make to lift it higher?

Murder your ****! Flat black everything!!!

a budget boost. it will give you between 1.5-3" of "lift". the thing is, you dont gain any sus. ability/travel, but you do get the body up off the tires more and you dont have to worry about driveline angles changing as they dont get off set by a BB! plus its mad cheap!!

it looks so nasty! ive got some paint issues so when that been dealt with, its flat black for me!!

im just gonna rattle can it. ive got a grip of paint layin around so i might use it. im gonna paint my hood first and see what it looks like then on to the top of my car where its sun marked everywhere
