While replacing my tb with a bored out tb I broke this cable. What is it? Yes I know I could trace it back, and should know what it is regardless. However I'm drunk and running out of time before I have to head to work. First correct answer earns my respect for life.
It's on a 92 I6 HO middle cable. The attachment to the TB was rotted and broke off.
Thanks in advance for the obvious answer but I'm too drunk to figure it out myself =)

Only 3 Lines connected to the throttle body I know of is the throttle cable, which looks fine.
Kick down cable for the tranny and cruise control if you have it.
Gotta be 1 of those. Take it for a drive and figure it out

It's the canister between the battery and the fuse box....

I don't have that canister or that line by the battery/fuse box so I would say that it is cruise control, since I don't have it. I just did a quick Google search and couldn't find just the cable but I did find the entire cruise control set-up that included the cable, but it was pretty pricey. I'm sure you'll be able to find a replacement if you looked around.

It is your cruise control cable. That "canister" is your cruise control module(not sure of the proper name). Easiest way to fix it is go to the junk yard and pull the whole unit, it's only 2 or 3 bolts. If you want to verify for yourself get int the jeep and drive. If its the throttle cable...well, you won't go anywhere. If it's your kickdown cable your jeep will run like crap and won't shift properly. If it's your CC then your jeep will drive just fine but your CC won't work.

Thanks for the responses. Jeep runs great. Super glue and a zip tie is holding the cruise control cable in place until I hit the jy tomorrow.
