so im gonna wash my engine today what all do i need to cover so it doesnt geted all fried and messed up and stuff

I normally don't bother covering anything. If you want to play it safe cover your distributor and ecu.

Also called ecm, or pcm. It's the computer. Located in a black box on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

put a plastic bag over the top of your alternator too. Use a spray degreaser and dont hose it down with a lot of pressure.
