Can anyone tell me what this is and what it is supposed to do?

 

Its for the ejector seat....

 

I am gonna say its the keyless entry receiver, though I have really only seen them as a bubble towards the front of the overhead console. Only other guess would be an overhead display for temp and direction. But that doesnt really look like a display screen to me since it sticks out so far, which would again lead me to belive its a receiver of some sort.

 

That's what it is.. the keyless entry reciever. His is the one you got if you didnt have the overhead console.
