I have two of these clips on both sides of my dash, right underneath the edges of the dash underneath. This picture is on the passenger side. Don't laugh at that antenna cable that's not plug in.

Someone may correct me, but I beleive they are for footwell lights.

 

Looks like a plug attached to a pair of wires, but I could be wrong.

 

Foot well lights? Hmm.. Where and how do these work?

 

I have a bunch of connectors hanging around in my Jeep that aren't attached to anything and I have no idea where they would go.

 

Holy crap... I have the same thing on my passenger side... are there really lights down there???

 

My 2000 has footlights so maybe older xjs came with footlights also.

 

Those connectors are made for the footlights... One of my wheeling mate have those on his XJ...

 

Damn, learn something new every day. I'll have to see if I have lights hooked up down there.

I didn't know what they were until I read this. All I knew is they are a +12v source, found that with a multimeter and have my amplifier running off one.

 

I don't have any lights but I would love to hook some up if that's what those connectors are for. I'm gonna have to go take a look too. X4 I guess?
