Ok xj peeps Im confused this peace is beside the vac.pod under the dash on the passenger side It has 2 bolts that hold it in .I've seen it on alot of vehicles but never had no idea what it was for now the ? has aroseon its purpose is .

looks like a resistor, i dont know what for,
im just saying i hand them out at work a lot but i work for ford

It bolts in threw the heater duct It has 4 wires that plugs into it.

x2 on the blower motor resistor. depending on what you select at the dash switch determines where the current runs through that resistor pack. running through one of the coils versus the other determines the speed of your fan. more resistance, slower speed. opposite is true of course! hth!
