I found this unplugged. Anyone have any ideas what it is? It hasn't been plugged in for a while

 

cruise control maybe. Right place for it and vacuum line is also disconnected

I meant. Why would they have it though? I don't have the controls so why have that?

 

Cause its easier to just make one harness with provisions for all of the optional crap instead of making a bunch of custom ones.

Also easier for the dealers to add it later if someone decides they want it.

He meant actually go into your user CP and add your jeep info.

 

That auxiliary wire could use wire loom and then securing..

On my DRL-equipped model the connector is back more and had two rows of pins. Is that a plug in the connector to keep the gunk out?

No, the weatherpack. Looks like it has a blank connector in it to keep stuff clean.

 

Nope the blue thing is a cap on the vacuum line that used to run to the cruise control solenoid and reservoir in the bumper... looks like the PO owner did a hack job! You might notice your HVAC goes to 'defrost' on long grades or acceleration.

Now that I'm not on my phone and can see the connector better, that's not DRL. DRL has a pinout like this:

To me that looks like the cruise control connector with a dummy plug in it to keep crap out.

 

I dont know if this helps,,but my 2000 has that plug. It is not connected to anything.
I went and ask a bud of mine(he is kinda like CCken when it comes to this stuff) about the plug.

He said cruise control. I dont have CC so that must be what it is, IDK.
