What is it?
So I am installing a Four Link Rear Coil conversion in my 2000 Jeep Cherokke XJ. Unfortunately there is a large rusted up box forward of the rear axle inboard of the Drivers side frame rail. It's somehow related to the fuel system. I think it may be a vapor recovery container or some kind of emissions gizmo. It's in my way big time. The upper link on the drivers side is crashing through it and I can't even get it close to bolted unless I take the vehicle up another two inches. I think I can move the box farther rearward just forward of the LH Shock mount. But I would like to know what it is and how important it is before I go about moving or eliminating it if thats even an option.
Yes, I did search for it and came up blank. Of course its hard to find something when you don't know what you are looking for.....
