Default wet carpet

now that i got this beast running good, i noticed wet carpet after all the rain we got here. drivers floor board and back in the back just inside the hatch. i have seen that folks find rust. are there well known spots to search for leaks? door seals? i guess i will be pulling the carpet up this week to see whats going on under it.

Door seals are notorious for allowing water to seep in and run down to the carpets. Firewall grommets, windshield is a two part seal, known to separate. Also sometimes you'll get a leak around the brake booster or where the fuse panel goes through the firewall. Also there is a welded and seamed area under the hood where the fender, firewall and pillar join. Sometimes that will pull apart a bit and seep water.

Yep. Pull the carpet and get the hose, use a friend to spray water and you stay inside and look for drips.

Will do. Speaking of the carpet, I think I might pull it all anyway, and do some paint on bedliner. Any of yall do this?
