I have dana 30 front & C8.25 rear I was wondering would welding axle tubes to differ case does that add fair amount of strength? Also gettin ready to start XJ's kemo found product called POR 15 does anyone know from experience its durability? Its to prevent rust from returning once removed.

i really dont see a reason you weld them , as for por 15 , i love the stuff , i used to use it alot , its a bit pricey but pretty worth it , just watch if you buy it in colors other then black , i used black and it was awesome , stayed strong and shiney , also used silver and in a short period of time it turned a greenish tint and recently after it started pealing off , id stick with the black if you use it ,when they add tint for color i think it changes the chemical balance of it and it doesnt work right
