Default Weird sound from my jeep

I have a 98 Cherokee 4.0 L with 102,000 miles and all of a sudden it started making this noise... Does anyone have Amy recommendations?

Thanks!

Dose the noise change with the rpm's. Check your fan make sure its not rubbing.

GADS! Its a squirrel rumble. I wouldn't mess with them. Something driven by the belt. Your gonna need to take it off to fix it so maybe take it off then start checking things. Fan clutch, alternator..... You might run it a bit (cold),then feel for something that's hot.

That might point to the fan clutch. Also you can use a tube to try to isolate where it's coming from.

Could also be the belt tensioner bearings....everything is working fine?

I think the belt tensioner would change with RPM. The fan rotates with the pulley.

If the sound dosent change with the rpm's it won't be a fully or belt. Check your electric fan it could be bad.

Ah....Good idea.

But, it shouldn't be on unless it's hot or the AC is on? The fan clutch slippage might remain somewhat constant with change in rpm.

Thanks everyone for you thoughts! The sound does remain constant, it doesn't change with the rpms or A/C... I have been working 15 hour days and have not gotten a chance to take a look at it, once I do I will let you know what it is...
