weird rattle when IDLE. HELP???

weird rattle when IDLE. HELP???

water pump was replaced about 2 years ago, thermostat was replace this past august.
any ideas what this sound might be?

i dunno, im thinking its the freaking waterpump again. the car sporaticly overheats now.
thing is, the car was FINE until i brought it in to get the fluid changed to prepare for winter.

brought the car to the shop, car, overheated and dumped collant everywhere. thought for sure it was the wapter pump, thus solving that sound.
they said the radiator cap needed to be replaced.
the car holds pressure now, but still sorta over heats. the AC fan isnt kicking on like it should either.
like i said, the waterpump isnt more than 2 years old so im clueless here as to what that sound could be. and now i got to figure out why my car is running at like 230degrees sometimes hitting 250. plus why the fan wont kick on.

Check your fan/fan shroud and make sure it's tight. Could be what that sound is. And just because you buy a "new" component doesn't necessarily mean it works properly. I've heard many stories about people buying "new" parts that turn out to be dysfunctional (mainly thermostats) but that is possible with a water pump too. Check all your cooling components. Fan clutch, radiator, hoses for leaks

update.
replaced waterpump this morning. sound has completly gone away.
car still over heats.
fan doesnt turn on when it should.
replaced relay last night. about to replace coolant temp sensor.
just replaced thermo few months ago but if i have to i will replace that again tonight.
ugh.
