a friend of mine recently has a problem with her 95 cherokee where when you turn the wheel while moving it make a thunk sound that kinda souds like when you put shoes in the washing mechine. any ideas on what it could be? it doesn't do it when you turn the wheels when the jeep isn't moving.

 

we need more info than that... like if it has a lift and or bigger tires, anything aftermarket done to the jeep?

 

if its like clicking noise then i would say a u joint on the front axle. mine did the same thing. get some lifetime warrenty full clip u joints and he'll be set

 

or is it a loud popping noise like there is some slack being tugged tight?

 

also check the frame mount for the trac bar,the bolts stretch and loosen up

 

everything is stoke on the vehicle
