Default Weird ignition issue.

So I have a 97 xj. I have always had a cylinder 1 misfire not the problem here. However I don't know if it's linked. So after wheeling last Saturday I'm having really weird issues. First off while I was wheeling I had really bad heat soak issues to the point of having to redline several times to clear it up. Now while I'm driving if I come up to a stop it will randomly and not at all consistently die. Other times it will hesitate on take off when it does that it hesitates when flooring it. It's not a normal vrooom it a vavroom kinda hesitation. I also have a very poor idle. My iac code is on the distributor code (can't remember the number for it) I have multiple misfire in cylinders 1-4. Idk what's up or where I should start. I figured a dist cap cam sensor and possibly plugs would maybe fix it. Cause I just had my distributor and rotor checked out and it's all good. I just had the crank sensor replace and it ran fine after but still bad idle. Anyone having these issues or had them. Could it be a bad PCM? HELP please!! I'm broke and can't just throw parts and sensors like a rich kid.

My iac code is on the distributor code
I'm not sure what that means. Perhaps a good starting point is to list all the codes you have, along with any recent maintenance you have done. Yes it could be the PCM but is more likely something else.

Like others have said...Crankshaft Position Sensor looks to be t!ts up.

Possible IAC motor bad.

Edit: That CPS you installed may be bad. It wouldn't be the first time an aftermarket CPS was bad out of the box.

Clear all the codes and drive it to see what codes reappear.

Pretty sure it's not the crank sensor. It ran like a charm after it was in. Ran great for a while then I went wheeling and it started acting up. When it was my crank sensor it would sputter and pop and backfire. It's not doing that. Sounds like a fuel pump issue. It just hesitated like it's not getting fuel. Not backfiring.
