I don't know if anyone has had this problem, but on my 96 front doors when i am driving over 40mph, i get alot of wind noise thru what it sounds like the seal on the door. the sound is like driving down the highway with your windows down. Now i inspected the main seal, and it looks to be in good shape, and then there is the flat seal thats on the post. It looks fine but looks can be deceving. Should i replace the flat seals on the post?

something I'm about to do that you should also - since yours sounds much worse - grab some front door seals off a 97+ XJ. The seals are, for lack of a better word, plumper, and seal a lot better (or so i've heard). Get em either from the JY or other location.
Note: don't do the back doors - the seals are too big and the door won't close.
