Default Weak Power Locks Renix Jeep

My jeeps been having an issue since I got it where the power locks don't really work on most of the doors. They lock on the driver side usually, the passenger side sometimes, the rear doors never, and the hatch always. Its a 1990 so I'm unsure if this system is ran by vacuum lines or not. Another member posted this same issue in 2018 but it was never resolved. If anyone has any ideas to solve this, I'd be interested in hearing any and all. Thanks!

Use a light oil on them like a spray oil that will clean and lube the power locks and see if it helps , it helps on my XJ .

There's a write-up by a guy named Greg Smith that's been around for years. It requires installing relays. Works great.

I performed this mod about a year and a half ago. I tapped directly off the battery with a fused lead. I mounted the relays as Mr. Smith instructed on a small aluminum plate (used the relays with the single mounting tab). The whole assembly was small enough to mount behind the passenger side kick panel. My locks went from barely wiggling to slamming - even the rear hatch.

Exactly my experience.

Thanks everyone for the help! I just placed the order for all of the circuit parts to fix both this and my weak power windows. Great news that I don't have to replace a whole bunch of parts!
