Default waterproofing or snorkling a K&N FIPK??

I bought my 1998 cherokee and it came with the K&N FIPK cold air intake
http://store.knfilters.com/search/pr...x?Prod=57-1518
and to me it just screams "I'm thirsty let me drink" lol. I'm trying to avoid hydrolocking this thing so what would be the best way to either waterproof or snorkle this intake? any pics would probably help the most but any ideas are good too. If I can't figure this out than I'm going to put it on craigslist forsale and try and just fab a whole snorkle using the air filter canister from a land rover.

Yeah if you do a lot of water crossings stock is the best way to go or even better get a snorkle.

I'm just gonna sell the pos and build a snorkle. i think the bag would be good for drops like heavy rain and road splash but not for possibly being submersed for a few seconds you know. i'd rather have a snorkle that looked like **** but actually works and possibly saves me.

I have been thinking about this, I want to do something that will be a kind of quick disconnect. That way I can run a snorkel when on the trail, but have a better flowing intake for daily driving. I guess installing a snorkel and leaving it in place, but have a cold air or short ram style intake inside the engine compartment with a removable piece that can be installed fairly easily and quickly. Might not be feasible though. Any thoughts?
