Default Water... Umm Not good

Hello All, 95 XJ with 4.0L and automatic. I had an overheating event the other day. I limped home and parked the XJ. The aux fan would not come on and I believe caused the overheat. I could be wrong.

When i finally had some time, i looked under the hood and started the engine with the radiator cap off. I almost immediately had some water leakage. I took a picture to describe the area of leakage.

My question. What is leaking? Is this a seal that I could replace?

I am currently in Grad School and have 0 income so if this is a big job I might be in some real trouble. Suggestions welcome.

Sweet!

So in order to determine which one of those items Im looking at (weep hole, Water Pump gasket, Water pump), what is the procedure?

How much time/ difficulty am I looking at? I have tackled basic maintenance before but not any real dis assembly. Im really tight on time right now so If these repairs require a full day of work I will have to find a ride to school until next weekend.

Thanks again,

capdaddy

I checked all the hoses and they appear to be fine. I believe the problem lies in the metal housing that the hose is coming out of.

Great!,

Are there any special tools that I will require? I have basic hand tools and I like working on the vehicle, but if I tear this down I have to get it back together in one day.

I will search for a writeup and study before i start, but any experience/advice would be appreciated.

Make sure you get some rtv too and i think you just need a 13mm and don't break any bolts cuz then your screwed (did that once and had to take the head off to get it out) so torque it down to spec
