Default Water ...Rear Differential ??

on my 2000 xj i had it serviced today and they told me that my differential had water in it.....and needed to be drained and changed....
Is this a common problem with off roading for it to get water in it...??

Just new to that part.

Don't forget about bearings. Deep water(enough to get in your diff) will wash thegrease out of your bearings.

Differentials on a Jeep have breather hoses on the top. Check to see if they go all the way up to the engine. Might be disconnected on the differential.
