Check the weep hole. It might be leaking from the weep hole. Pretty common to overlook it.

Sorry to hijack.. Don't ya replace the pump if it's leaking out the weep hole?
Been a decade or so since I had any trouble out of a water pump. I can't remember.

Goblinish 15, you asked this same question 2 days ago and got 5 replies. Every one of them told you to put a new water pump on. A unanamous consensus. You come on the site for advice why don't you take it. BTW, you say it not the weephole because its leaking from the bottom, the weephole is on the bottom. I just bought an AC Delco water pump a month ago for 26 bucks. Spring for a new pump!

Question

so i replaced my water pump with a working one and there is no more leaking from that area! but i have a hole in my radiator and its spilling lots of water! i was driving and pressed on the gas hard while driving and it just reved high and backfired and didnt move far but when i drive normally it does fine.......would a bad radiator do that? or is my head blown?

Not necessarily. Thats a pretty vague description. It can be a number of things. Although I would check the Throttle position sensor first to see if it has gone bad.

well there is no water in the oil. the water pump is sealed and working now. the thermostat has recently been replaced. the tps was replaced a few weeks ago.....im guessing its just losing pressure because there are like 4 holes spurting out water in the radiator

So, as I understand this, you tightened your distributor bolt and that stopped water from coming out of 4 holes in the radiator?

Is "different" the same as "new"?
