Water pump inlet tube
I've been calling around for a water pump inlet tube and can only find a curved one. My 87 4.0 had a straight inlet tube. I checked ebay as well. Does anybody know where to find a straight tube? My original is fubar and crusted onto my old water pump. I am installing a new engine and want to do everything correctly (replace everything that is shot with oem parts).

Don't know about a '87 but but we used a 5/8" hose barb X 3/8" MNPT brass nipple (available at most any hardware store) to replace our rusted/corroded inlet tube. It does require a little longer heater hose.

When I've done HO swaps into Renix, I just used the curved pipe and cut the hose shorter. Sure easier to change the hose in the future.
