Trying to figure out if the water pump and thermostat bolts go into the water jacket and need sealer on them when reinstalled. I can't tell from my skimpy book. You can tell I'm thinking like a small block chevy person

 

A little ultra copper or blue permatex never hurt, just to be sure, and behaves like a bolt locker so you don't need to overtorque.

 

I think their closed holes...but I may be wrong.
