Water Pump

How difficult is it to replace the water pump on a 2000XJ 4.0? Does the radiator need to be removed to replace it?

Engine: 4.0 liter RENIX I-6, DIY Cold Air Intake, 2.5 FM Exhaust, 3 Core Radiator

The waterpump is pretty easy to swap out on a Jeep 4.0. You donnot have to remove the radiator. You do however have to loosen the PS pump to get the serpantine belt loose and because the water Pump and PS pump share a couple of mounting bolts.

It is very easy just follow what he is saying above. Just take off the fan shroud first to give more room.
