My passenger side floor puddle came from water leaking in around the HVAC blower gasket.

Default Update

It is not an antenna issue. It is a windshield sealing issue. Unfortunately this will be the 4th time I have brought it back for the leaking windshield.

I thought the same thing. The windshield was replaced twice before I figured it out. My gasket had kind of fallen inward between the bolts on the blower. Unbolt the blower from the firewall, straighten out the gasket and put some RTV on the gasket and bolt the blower back up. It's cheap and easy so give it a try before redoing the windshield.

Default windshield leak

Rest assured there is at least a windshield issue because I can see the water coming in through the windshield seal.

For me it was a windshield issue. I think I had to bring it back 6 times before they replaced the windshield and seal - now it does not leak. Now I just have a lot of windnoise bc it is not an oem windshield seal ... need to tackel that with them.

yes i would do that. Some of my family owns an auto glass shop and that is unexceptable. BUT from the sound of it its not the window seal, but the sealent(however you spell that) that holds the windshield on. The eurathane is what actually seals the windshield so if there is adequite eurathane on the windshield than it may not even be the seals, but what they seal to.......but i am no expert and from the sounds of it the window shop that did yours isnt either

check for rust or any paint bubbles around the top of where your window meets the roof.

yea i looked and there is some, which means i hav to take out the windshield to get that fixed, sand, prime, paint and wait 2 weeks for paint to set before new windshield goes in. the glass guys will love me, its 250 bucks for them to take it out and put the new one in and this will be the second time they just had to put a new one in, my first was my car, the windshield was half smashed and the roof was damaged right on top. so i took it out and kinda fixed the badly dented in lip. then primed and painted. they had to stick extra chaulking in to make sure it didnt leak. and its a pain taking them out.

the paint bubbles is actually caused by a window being put in before, and the window shop not putting any primer or whatever they use to fix the damage their window removal tools do. thats why i would always go to a well known and praised glass shop.

well they did my car in the driveway and i figured i'll have the jeep done that way too, but they probably wont fix any of that. since i can see rust under the trim. maybe i should check some shops for prices and what they do.

I hope you post the result...

I've been down this path - headaches with a windshield replacement. Not fun. I'd like to replace the one in my XJ but am avoiding the hassle and argument that might arise. I don't know why but the people at the glass company are off-putting to me.

you just have to go to a good glass company, preferrably a locally owned place not a big corporate business. A good family owned business will usually treat you better and honestly the stress it saves you is worth the little extra money it may cost you.
