water on pass. floor board
soaked... more like a puddle. it rained a few days this week so i may have a door leak, but the seat is not wet. i had a door leak in my old xj which drenched the seat and floor... found it when i went threw the car wash lol. also i havent used my a/c but once this year so i dont think that is draining on the floor. floor board has no holes either.
so is there anything i should check this weekend while im taking the carpet out and draining the water?

It may be the windshield leaking. My wifes 01 leaks on the pass side at the top. The rubber moulding around the w/s on the outside gets easily damaged by tree limbs while offroading, and by body flex. Check it for any signs that it may have been pulled away from the glass anywhere.

The rubber moulding does not actually seal the glass. The w/s is glued into the body and that creates the water tight seal. The moulding is meant to keep dirt and debris form builind up in the channel around the w/s. My brother noticed the moulding bowed up on the 01. We pulled it up a little more and could see where the actual sealant had deteriorated causing the leak. My w/s is cracked as well, but a quick shot of silicone this weekend may help me delay the replacement cost.

Also check the fire wall. I was playing around with some wiring and didn't replace a grommet correctly, found out about it the next time it rained.

my passenger side floor was getting wet after rain.. wash etc.. i had a leak from the engine side of the firewall. There is a blower fan.. motor mounted there. Looks like:

Anyways it leaks and you need to silicone around it. And it should solve the issue.

Here's what my problem was. The HVAC system draws outside air from the cowl area, which has drains. When these drains become clogged with debris, car wash water/ heavy rain can run into the pass. compartment through the HVAC passage. Pull the covers off the cowl and clean out the drains. It might not be your problem, but it's possible.

It could still be the door. Mine leaks at the bottom of the window. All of the weather stripping right there is dry rotted. Everytime it rains I have a puddle on the floor right there and without carpet it is pretty easy to spot where it is coming from. If you still have carpet you might want to get the leak fixed asap. There is a diaper pad that goes along the pass. side.

Had the same issue. My fix was to get the windshield resealed. When they installed it the places where the beads of "glue" came together had small holes. The water would run down from the top of the car inside and end up right where the windshield touches the inside - almost impossible to see. It would then run down to the plastic molding where the passenger sits and drop on the floor.
Use a hose with someone inside and if possible take the screws out of the inside molding that runs from the top down the side of the door frame so you can see better where the water is entering. Perhaps it will go away with the new windshield install.

Hey, I know this post is getting a little old, but...
I'm having a problem with water pooling on the pass. floor board as well. I'm pretty sure it's water because it doesn't smell like a chemical. What I'm not sure about is where the water would be coming from. I have a floor mat and I only noticed the water because I took the mats out to be cleaned. The carpet all around the puddle is dry, although that may be because it's already dried and the rubber floor mat has kept the puddle from evaporating.
Anyone have suggestions?
BTW It's my first car I'm still learning about the mechanics of cars.

To DManXJ00. Your HVAC system's condensation drain line's plugged and instead of flowing out of the vehicle it's leaking out of the HVAC box. Look on your firewall on the pass side near the framerail for a rubber tube and take a wire and clean it out.
