Default water leak...

When it rains or I wash my 91 Jeep, water will leak in on the passenger side where the headliner meets the windshield. Not in the corner, but about 8 inches in. So if you were sitting in the passenger seat and looking up, water comes in at the half way point of the sun visor (length wise) right where the head liner begins.
Has anyone had this same problem? How can I fix this? My windshield is the origanl from the factory and has a bazillion cracks in it. Will a new windshield fix this problem? I did just put silicone on all the bolts that hold the factory roof rails on the roof just in case, but I dont think its those thats causing the leak.
Please help.

If your wind shield is the original factory one, that's a good possibility. A wind shield that's almost 20 years old will most likely have some bad seals.

X2..... I, my self would replace the windshield. (Before I got pulled over for it.) If at that time, anything is wrong with the seal. It will be corrected. I would watch the install, so after the trim is pulled. I could check for any possible rust holes............................................. ................JMO!
