Default Washer Fluid Sensor - What Wire Harness Plug

I have a Stock 95 Jeep Cherokee XJ... The Low Washer Fluid Light will not go off. I believe the switch in the washer reservoir tank is the problem.

Mopar has discontinued OEM Part # 56000698

After Market is Omix ADA Part # 17217.04

omix ADA Part is available everywhere, including Amazon:

Amazon Amazon

Question: My OEM Wire Harness has a FEMALE Plug that clips to Male Connectors that are external on the OEM Sensor. The After-Market Sensors require a 2 Pin Male Plug to connect to female pins on the sensor. The after-market sensors do not come with a wiring harness pigtail.

Does anybody know WHICH 2 Pin Male Plugs will fit into these after markets sensors?

The female plug on the sensors seems to be oval in shape and may or may not allow for a clip on the top.

I need to chase down the male plug. Can anyone provide a source or part #?

Welcome to CF.

Can't help you with the pigtail but a question for you. Does your old one look like the one from Amazon? This is supposedly for a '95:

It's the one I put on my '96 BUT the connector on my old one was 180* from where the one in the link is.

No... The Stock Washer Fluid Sensor on the '95 Jeep XJ has male electrical connections per the image attached.

I don't want to cut the wiring harness... I need the plug for the After-Market Sensors that would seemingly match a Mopar Stock Plug

Here is OEM vs Aftermarket. Apparently, Jeep changed the plug style on the original OEM at some point.

I simply need to know what plug to fit the Current style/After-Market sensor?

That's listed as a coolant level sensor not a washer fluid level sensor.

Default Washer Reservoir Sensor is same as "Coolant Sensor"

Correct... Omix ADA does list the part as a Coolant Sensor. However, the Coolant Overflow Reservoir does not have a sensor. The part is the Washer Fluid Reservoir Sensor.

Come on... Somebody must know answer to my question?

What year ZJ? or what year from XJ?

At some point Mopar changed the Wire Harness Connection on the Washer Reservoir Sensor?

Default 1990 Cherokee Washer Fluid Sensor Sponge?

Hi - Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement sponge that fits into the bottom of the washer fluid sensor unit, or tell me what it is made of so that I can perhaps fabricate one of my own. Electrically it seems to be working fine, I just need to retrofit the sponge, or whatever that it at the bottom. Mine is completely empty.

Thanks - Trevor
