Default What is this harness plug for?

Its an 87 XJ. I removed both manifolds and I am pretty sure it was disconnected when I took them off (I just bought the XJ). Upon install of everything, I still dont see anything for this to plug into. With the amount of slack it has, it cant be very far from the TB, and there is nothing that I see.

thanks

'87 xj have no engine harness distinction when it comes to the throttle body, between 5 speed and 4.0.

the harness has a second connector on the TPS, which is only utilized with 1 of the transmissions (IIRC it's 5 speed). it's there, it has no bearing on how your jeep runs, don't worry about it.

I believe it's for the automatic tranny kickdown. If you have a 5 speed it's irrelevant.

I have a 5 speed so it must be that. Finally got everything back together and it runs great, with 237k on it
