I want to get projectors that wont blind oncoming traffic.
I have them in my other car and well the jeep just don't cut it with light.
I don't want to spend a fortune as I am doing other necessary stuff to the rig.(another thread about that to follow)
I found these if anyone used them..

I have a set of these on my geo metro. Still blind people. Although really not bad since the car is so low. But in an XJ that's different. Those aren't real projectors. Not like you want. I bought them because they were cheap. And was experimenting. No way would I put them on my XJ. I'm looking into IPF h4 conversion housings. With the bulbs they come with not hid. People seem to be happy with them. Much brighter then stock. And you won't blind people or get pulled over...

ok first off, I want to congratulate you on knowing that anything but projectors will blind on coming traffic. But as for that link, those are not projectors and that is a COMMON mistake. Since you know you need the projectors, you have two options, retro-fit or buy from a company. I went with http://www.norcalmr2.com/store/. For $280 shipped to my doorstep, I got a 6000k setup with green angel eyes. Since your on a tight budget, I am assuming, you might want to hold off on these, but I honestly swear by them and will probably go to their H7 Bi-xenon kit pretty soon.

Hella H4's with the 50/60 lamps are all you really need for street use. I replaced my factory Halogens with the set up and have not looked back.

Do this^^ and add a headlight upgrade harness.

The harness needs to be done first no matter what anyway. It prevents you from burning up headlamp switches and connectors/wiring. Not to mention that the harness alone will increase the brightness of stock bulbs by about 30%.

I get what both you guys are saying, but it sounds like he has his mind set on HID's since he has them already in another car...

I know. Just giving him an option. I've done just the harness on 2 Jeeps and it makes a big difference. On mine, I had to add H4s with 80/90 bulbs....

You know, it's fine. Plenty bright and with the lens cut on the H4s it doesn't blind people. I can sure see if there's an elk or deer in my path way down the road!!!
