Wagoneer D44
I may have an opportunity to snag a front and rear D44, plus whatever else I would need off of a 89 Wagoneer.
Has anyone put a wagoneer d44 in the rear and/or the front?
How much fab work is needed? Would I also need the driveshafts/transfer case?
This would be an awesome winter project.
Thanks in advance.

Get a tnt truss for the front that takes a lot of guess work out of it. The rear will need new spring perches and shock mounts. Front drive shaft will be fine, rear will depend on what rear you have now. If it's a 35 it will be a bit long. Your t-case is better than anything that came in those. I personally would swap the drive flanges on the front to lock outs and you will def have to regear.
Thanks for the quick response.
I also plan on lifting about 3.5" or 4.5" so if I do go higher and would need an SYE, would my drive shaft (that will be a little too long) be around the right length for a lift? Or am I missing something completely?
BTW thanks for answering all of my questions about front and rear ends, its not the first time and probably won't be the last.
