Default Voltage drop check eng light comes on
My voltage is droping and check eng light comes on and battery stops charging.have new wires ran new alt had battery check out it on a 2000 cherokee.it was just doing it some times and now it is doing it all the time.I'm at wits end.

check your belt tension, check the alt fuse, check alt it self....check connections at alt. grounds?

fire her up, and disconnect the battery, and if she dies something is going on with the alt.

computer? Not sure if the voltage regulator was built into the pcm on those years.
