Default Vibration while cruissing

In my moms cherokee there is a vibration when we cruise without pushing the gas. When it is is in drive and we are driving there is no vibration, but when she lets off the gas you can feel the vibration. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Bump. Year and model, engine info etc. As I understand you, under acceleration there is no vibration but when you let off the gas and the jeep starts to slow there is? What does it sound/feel like? This could be lots of things so more info.

99% sure prob rear u joints, causes most decel vibes. Lift rear tires, spin driveshaft look a u joint for looseness, any play they will decel only vibe. Surprisingly no acceleration vibes.

Im willing to bet its the rear u-joint on the driveshaft. Mines did the same thing when I first bought it. Check the u-joints on the rear driveshaft before you blow the ears off the yoke like my dumbass did. To do that chock your tires, and put your handbrake on. Now put the jeep in neutral and get under it. Try spinning the driveshaft and checking it for play. Obviously the driveshaft isnt going to spin but your just checking to see if the u-joint has play in it. If it does then the joint is shot and nees to be replaced. Hope that helps.
