Default Vents not blowing as strong after Heater Core Repair

Replaced the heater core on my 87 XJ a couple of weeks ago. Ever since then, I've had a few issues with what is coming out of the vents. It seems like air is coming through but not nearly at the velocity it was before the repair. Also, I can hear the vent door shut or stick (not sure which one) when I put turn off the heat/air vent lever.

Not sure if I may have reconnected something wrong. Any ideas?

Does it sound like your fan is spinning like normal?

I'd guess something isn't lined up correctly from the repair...

Did you make sure everything was put back correctly? In my HVAC box, there was a special spacer (separate piece of plastic that was removable) and fit around the heater core. It definitely had an effect on the airflow. Did you notice this?
