That part is called the Division Bar Glass Run Weatherstrip Channel. Long name, big price. Scroll down a little, I think it's about the 5th item on this page.

I just came across this which may work in place of the standard (and ridiculously expensive) Division Bar Weatherstrip. Just measure up the channel width and cut to length. For less than ten bucks, it's worth trying even if it doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure the retractable glass is the same size whether the vent windows are fixed or functioning and I know the doors are the same. Those are the only two factors that could affect their compatibility.

rlpetty43, would you mind sharing with us what you paid for those?

I'm pretty sure (read that as "not completely sure") they're the same. However, if they differ it would only be in the length of the primary window, not the vent glass. That would be the same regardless of the number of doors. That means you should be able to harvest the functioning vents from either a 2 or 4 door XJ.

The doors of a two door are a lot longer than a 4 door but the vent windows will work. Not the window glass that rolls up an down

Yes the vent windows are the same 2 door or 4 door from what i know... also you can change your fixed side glass to the side glass with the vent window ob a 2 door with no modification... i highly recomend it... great in the summer time.... keeps the jeep cooler inside

These vent windows are the best things when your air conditioner hasn't worked since the 90's. I find the Jeep is pretty well ventilated even in the heat. Newer cars are like mini-greenhouses due to sloped glass panels.

lol mine hasnt worked since the day it was new more then likely lol I do plan on going doorless but when the weather isnt right for no doors id love to be able to just open the side windows. Do you think I can get the rear vented windows out of a 2dr and put them in mine. What mods would have to be made to make them work? Sorry not trying to thread jack just trying to learn.

yes you can put the rear window with the vents in your two door... you just have to take out the whole rear side windows from one with the the vents... no mod needed... you just need to get the window sealer... and when take them out do your best not to ruin the weather strip .... or you have to get a new one... It was one of the best mods i did to my two door when I had one because I had no a/c plus most vented rear windows have factory tint on them gives it a great look as well as function
