Try burping the system by sqeezing the upper most radiatior (sp) until it starts to feel firm with fluid.

Have you checked for combustion gases with a 'block tester'? Could be something much worse than trapped air

Vapor lock is a fuel issue not a cooling system issue. You have either an air pocket or you're over heating.

With the money youve dumped into this little guys cooling system you should have converted it to a open loop system. Secondly if you didnt back fill the system when the thermostat is closed you will (overflow) but once it opens up you should experiance basically the coolant system gulping down the fluid until its full. If its bubbling like a bastard.. you probably have a blown head....

My first thought was blown head gasket.

The Renix closed cooling system works fine as long as all the components are in good condition. Don't convert it.

1. Rear main.

2. Oil pan drain plug.

3. Oil filter adapter.

4. Pan gasket.

5. Timing cover.

7. Valve cover.

8. All of the above.

He said it sat up for 8 years. Wonder why? People don't just park a good running vehicle.
