Just did my valve cover and it came with plastic grommets. just curious if you guys use the plastic ones that come with the valve cover or upgrade to the metal ones that seem to have been stock?

The grommets should be rubber?

Stock are rubber. I replaced my pcv grommet with an oem rubber one and it's been good so far (over 3 months) in 100°+ heat.

oh you're talking about the grommets for the bolts of the valve cover. If you got a quality gasket (Felpro), it should have come with the 15 rubber grommets for the bolts. I'd use those instead of the metal spacer things that come OEM
