I'm replacing the valve cover gasket , which I believe was done once before by previous owner some time ago . What I am in need of , is the correct order in which the bolts & studs go around cover .
I noticed the all the bolts are on left and threaded studs are on right . I don't believe this is correct , plus the fact I was missing one completely in rear of cover. Got a replacement from junk yard.
I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter so long as you have a stud on the left side right around here for the hose mount.

The depth on the studs and bolts are the same length so it shouldn't have any effect on the engine. I prefer to use the studs in that location and around the back to make them easier to get on and off. Tight fit back there so having the studs stick out makes them easy to find and remove.
Of course if it does matter someone please chime up so I can change mine.
