x2 on the cigarette smoke. Also if you're using a cigarette make sure you don't inhale the smoke just hold it in your mouth, that way it will come out of the leak much more dense and easier to see. it would really help if you could have someone blow the smoke for you while you look for the leak it will make it much easier to identify.

Correct. You shouldnt have to remove it though. Just remove the stop and let it hang down. Mine is a white junction with 4 or 5 vacuum lines going to it. There is one unused vacuum port. Hope this helps.

So I think I have a vacuum leak inside of my cab..yesterday after doing so light wheeling with some friends (easily a 2/3 rated trail) when I was getting onto the highway and I had the heat on my feet to warm my toes up and the blowers switched from my feet to defrost without me chancing it. And now when I drive, I can hear a sound, sounds like either a sucking or blowing of air. And it changes with the rpms..higher the rpms the louder it is, the lower the quiter.
So anyone have any ideas?

I never used my cruise control so I just disconnected it and vacuum capped it. Problem was solved and MPG's went up. I had your exact symptoms with the relation to RPM and the sound + AC switching to Defrost.
My little vacuum splitter connections were all fine. It was just a bad CC in my case.

If the smoke doesn't come out from there, it's not your leak.
The smoke will come out the same place the sound is coming from.
Or - have you fallen for the "but I don't want it to be that" syndrome?
